Why should you care?
Not enough or poor quality sleep can have many negative consequences for our overall health and wellbeing and can increase risks for other medical conditions:
- feeling exhausted, sleepy or fatigued
- feeling irritable, depressed or anxious
- decreased performance
- brain fog, poor memory
- increased accidents
- cardiovascular conditions such as high blood pressure, heart attacks, strokes, arrhythmias
- weakened immune function
- decreased sex drive
- increased pain
- diabetes mellitus or kidney disease
- headaches and many more.
If you have a sleep disorder this can also disturb your bed-partner’s sleep.
